From the wilds of the Tatra Mountains in the south to the 500-mile sandy coastline in the north, Poland has an impressive natural landscape. But it’s also a country with a proud history of resistance, extending from the second world war to the Gdańsk shipyards of the 1980s. And its people are warm and welcoming.
