If there’s anything I’ve missed oh-so-dearly ever since the world got into lockdown, it is travelling. I’ve never realised that the occasional holiday abroad played such an integral part in my well-being until now, and I’m sure many of you can relate too—being cut off physically from the rest of the world has given us all a bad, bad case of cabin fever.
Many of us are itching to leave the country for a much-needed getaway, even for a short while, and while there is no news as to when we can cross the border again, one can only plan from afar.
If you’re already scheming about your next trip to KL once the border reopens, here’s a spanking brand new cafe you’d definitely want to check out—the Light Capture Cafe.
Housed within an old, rustic shophouse, the cafe’s decor stands out in terms of style points. The interior oozes a romantic charm—with its industrial-themed adornments, exposed brick walls, and naked light bulbs.
The building it sits in is majestically beautiful, with a vast interior floor space—it’s charred exterior walls, which hint at previous signs of fire damage, makes for the perfect backdrop for the ‘gram.

Located at 81/83 Jalan Tun H.S Lee, in the heart of KL’s Chinatown and within walking distance from Petaling Street, Light Capture Cafe is definitely a must-go if you’re lodging in the various hotels around KL’s city centre.

The food options, which appears to be mainly Western cuisine, look equally as lip-smacking. Mains come in the form of Aglio Olio Seafood and Grilled Salmon, while breakfast classics like the Ham and Cheese Croissant provide for a delightful morning treat.
Though there is not much information to be found with regards to the cost of dishes in their menu, the mains are said to range between RM19-RM26 per plate. Take me there already. Now.
