Generally known as a sleepy estate, Kovan is a neighbourhood littered with bungalows, terraces and private housing estates. While Kovan exudes a quiet and undisturbed charm, the neighbourhood delivers hard on the food and beverage front, and appears to the avid foodie as an underground haven for some of the best eateries located in the North East.
In Kovan lies the famed Upper Serangoon Road stretch, along which you can find food gems such as Ponggol Nasi Lemak, quaint cafes like Lola’s Cafe and Amber Ember, as well as late-night supper spots in the form of Heng Long’s Teochew Porridge. If you frequent this area, you’d be happy to know that a new cafe has just opened along this road—and it sits right by the glittering Stars at Kovan condominium.

Newly opened by a pair of siblings by the name of William and Wina, See You Latte cafe prides their identity as a fusion of Indonesian and Western cuisine—like their Curry Chicken set (S$7.90), which you can indulge in with a choice of side that includes rice, baguette or pasta.
Or if you’re more of a beef person, go ahead and satisfy your desires with the evergreen Indonesian classic—the Beef Rendang Rice (S$9.90).
See You Latte also has a whole lot more options of a Western influence, particularly for their breakfast menu—a whopping 22 in total. Highlights include The Legend Breakfast Sandwich (S$10.00)—a ham, bacon, cheese, eggs, and avocado sandwich party, as well as the Eggs Benedict (S$14.00) set, which are homemade english muffins slothered in hollandaise sauce and topped with eggs.
At See You Latte, you can either start your day right with their Honeycomb Dalgona Coffee (S$7.00), or a kopitiam-style hot Kopi C (S$2.00). I know where I’ll be taking myself to the next time I’m around Kovan looking for breakfast!
