New in town: Makan Empire, Kaki Bukit – 24hr Muslim-owned coffee shop for all the late-night cravings

When my friends and I are eating out, it can be hard to cater to everyone’s current craving. Usually, we find ourselves at food courts or coffee shops simply because of the wide range of food choices that keep the most people happy.

At the same time, we’ve also noticed there are markedly few halal options in the process. Most food courts only have one or two halal-certified stalls, which does limit my Muslim friends to only those stalls.

If you and your friends often dine in the East, you’d be pleased to hear that Muslim-owned Makan Empire will be opening its doors at Kaki Bukit come end October.

This coffee shop will feature six food stalls and one drink stall. Look forward to a medley of nasi padang, steamboat, Taiwanese shaved ice desserts, satay, beef noodles, western food and biryani.

Makan Empire will, true to its name, include a mix of cuisines by new and established names, such as Aroma Kampong and Farah Diana Steamboat.

What’s more, Makan Empire will be open 24 hours, so you know where to go when those late-night hunger pangs strike.

Makan Empire will be located at Bartley Biz Centre, a short bus ride away from Kaki Bukit MRT Station.

Do keep up with their Instagram and Facebook pages to get quick updates on their launch.
