Dirty Buns – NEW Burger Stall With Only 30 Burgers Available Every Day, Islandwide Delivery At $4

Talk about exclusivity.

There are only 30 burgers sold per day. And now is NOT the period when you can just go and queue earlier, and be guaranteed of getting something.

Dirty Buns is a new burger stall located at City Sprouts at 102 Henderson Road – no signage, no Facebook what-so-ever, yet.

Never heard of City Sprouts?

Sprout Hub is a food social hub located in the heartland of Redhill, with an aim of promoting urban agriculture.

There are actually 4 F&B operations within – Meat & Greet, 米o-kome (rice bowls), LOK-KOL (lok lok skewers), and (coffee).

The name “Dirty Buns” may just remind you that once upon a time not too long ago there was a trend of having Dirty Buns aka 脏脏包 – so funny and ridiculous if you think about it now.

So here’s how it works: Customers head over to tinyurl.com/thedirtybuns to make orders. (There was a phone number, I SMS-ed by nobody replied. Haha.)

Islandwide delivery is available at a flat-fee of $4 per location.

The burgers are sold from 5pm to 7:30pm daily, and last order for same day delivery is at 3pm. But they are always sold out at least a day or two prior anyway.

Upon confirmation, customers would receive an SMS or Whatspp confirmation. Payment is done via Paynow or Paylah.

The menu is really straight-forward, with DB Classic Single at $8 or $11 for a set with fries and Coke; Double Patty at $11 or $14 for the set.

Between the two, I would say just go for the “Dirty Double” rather than the single patty.

The meat to bun proportion felt more balanced, and somehow the single patty tasted overwhelmed by the cheese and sauces.

What’s noteworthy is that the meat patties are grinded and made from scratch. Buns are freshly baked; while fries are hand-cut then deep-fried. Though the fries turned too soggy after the travel.

The star of the burger was indeed the meat patties – nothing extraordinary, but good-old juicy, flavourful beef patties. Better than some of the expensive brands, really.

To no offence to either, there were components that reminded me of what a famous fast-food brand’s burger used to taste long, long ago. I think it was the pickles.
