Not Sure If Food Delivery During a Pandemic Is Safe? Make Your Own Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza

While the operation of restaurants is forbidden in general, the issue that most concerns people around the world is how safe is it to order food while the coronavirus is spreading rapidly. While world experts who are monitoring the spread of the pandemic claim that the chance of transmitting COVID-19 through food and packaging is small, caution is still recommended.

Essentially, food delivery is only allowed to those companies that can make it contactless. In most developed countries, all registered catering facilities are closed, and only those who can deliver food to consumers or the markets without contact are allowed to work.

Which Brands Do People Around the World Prefer for Delivery?

According to Google Keyword Planner, worldwide searches for keywords related to the food delivery went up by almost 300 % between March and May. Logically, there are takeout brands that people are searching for more than others.

It turned out that McDonald’s surpassed other searches for branded fast food companies. The numbers say that 41 of 81 countries for which data was available typed McDonald’s in search bars for food takeout. Although it’s the California-based company, the highest concentration of those searches came from Europe: 26 of the 30 nations in the Old Continent craved its products.

How’s India Ranked for Takeout?

What about India? Well, it was the seventh country in the world for the biggest spike in regard to this (68 %). Among the countries whose citizens most often ordered takeout per capita (counting the size of the population), India is 10th with one search for every 1,457 people (891,900 searches in total)  according to Betway What Indians order most is pizza and, of course, the kind of pizza with tikka chicken on it.
