As their name suggests, this restaurant enthroned within M Social Singapore is founded upon the concept of oxymorons. Their interior is dressed in an eclectic outfit, replete with whimsical furnishings and embellishments.

Expect no less from their menu, which features East-meets-West fusion creations. Their Sweet Potato Mont Blanc is a case in point – a collision of Asian flavours with French intricacy. The dainty dessert encloses buttery sponge cake and coconut gelato seated atop a crumbly biscuit base.

For those who appreciate sweet potato in its au naturel form, Guma Guma was made for you. This takeaway kiosk at the basement of VivoCity is run by a Korean ahjussi, Mr Hwang, and his wife, Eun Hee.

Their honey sweet potatoes are imported straight from Korea, and are endowed with natural sugars that slowly caramelise as they bake in the oven. Some say it’s just as good or even better than Don Don Don Ki’s famed sweet potatoes.
