We are pretty sure that many of us have become overnight Masterchefs during the Circuit Breaker and have been trying out new cooking ideas from all over the internet. Here, we have another one to add to your repertoire of recipes; the outrageously easy yet lip-smackingly delicious Pigs in a Blanket. For the uninitiated, Pigs in a Blanket are essentially little pastry sausage rolls.
The recipe only requires 3 ingredients, so it’s really easy to put together. These little golden-brown morsels of joy are incredibly addictive; you won’t be able to stop binging on these once they’re done in the oven!
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR 3-INGREDIENT PIGS IN A BLANKET:
- 4 pieces of puff pastry sliced into squares
- 4 hot dogs
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Knife
- Oven
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 220 degree celsius.
STEP 2
Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the puff pastry.
STEP 3
Place a hot dog on top of the cheese and puff pastry.
STEP 4
Roll everything up.
STEP 5
Slice it into 3 even pieces.
STEP 6
Arrange each piece evenly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or aluminium foil that has been lightly greased. Make sure that you leave a 1-inch gap between the pieces.
STEP 7
Bake for 15 minutes at 220 degree celsius.
STEP 8
Remove from oven and plate them as you wish.
And there you go; a simple 8 step, 3-ingredient pigs in the blanket recipe that can be done easily while you stay home during the Circuit Breaker. Enjoy!
