8 Places in Singapore That Deliver Authentic Nasi Ambeng To Your Doorstep

With origins from Java, Indonesia, nasi ambeng is a traditional communal dish that was immensely popular back in the 1960s to 1980s. Served on a large dulang (tray) comprising of steaming white rice nestled amongst a mouthwatering selection of side dishes, many regard nasi ambeng as a dish signifying unity and togetherness.

Still considered a must-have in almost every religious and social gatherings, a portion of this extravagant celebratory dish takes up to a gruelling 4 hours to prepare and cook.
