This stall is popular for carrot cake sticks, carrot cake pieces and yam cakes that sell out in full swing.

Although the stall is visited by a swarm of customers on a daily basis, the swift and efficient service of uncle ensures that you do not have to wait too long for your order. In fact, best if you get to try one fresh piping hot.

The soft Carrot Cake Sticks ($2 for 12 pieces) are first cut with precision using a fixed cutter, arranged neatly on a metal grill, then fried by batches for two minutes.

I loved how crisp they were from outside, with a perfect crunch in every bite, while contrasted with equally tender and soft texture from the inside.

What is great about these carrot cake sticks is that even though they are deep fried with that mesmeric golden-brown exterior, they are not too oily.
