Singapore To Enter Phase 2 On 19 June – Dining Out At Restaurants & Hawker Centres To Be Allowed

Red House Seafood Interior 2

Singapore will enter phase 2 of its opening on this Friday (19 June 2020). Dining out at restaurants will be allowed as people can also get together socially in groups of up to five, and households can receive up to five visitors at any one time.

However, do note that individuals will still have to keep a safe distance of at least 1m from others.

For dining at restaurants and hawker centres, each table will be limited to five people. Great news, we can finally dine out at our favourite food places again!

Food places aside, retail shops, sports, parks and other public facilities including stadiums, swimming pools, playgrounds, bowling centres, golf courses, and fitness studios will also be able to reopen. This also applies to similar facilities in private settings such as condominiums and clubs.

Karaoke outlets, bars, nightclubs, cinemas, theatres, libraries, museums and other large cultural and entertainment venues will not be allowed to resume just yet.

Please be reminded that you still have to wear your masks when you head outdoors, including in schools.

You can find the complete list of businesses that are allowed to operate on the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s website. Those on the list do not need to apply for an exemption before resuming operations.
