Ingredients
- golden caster sugar 3 tbsp
- ground cinnamon 1 tsp
- butter 25g, melted
- sweet toasting waffles 4
- double cream 100ml
- whole milk 50ml
- golden syrup 3 tbsp
- cocoa powder 2 tbsp
- milk chocolate 75g, broken into chunks
Method

Step 1To make the chocolate sauce, put the cream, milk and golden syrup into a small pan and whisk in the cocoa powder. Keep whisking over a gentle heat until the sauce begins to bubble, then whisk in the chocolate chunks to melt. Take off the heat.Step 2Mix the sugar and cinnamon together on a plate, and have a pastry brush ready for the melted butter. Toast the waffles following pack instructions then, as each is done, quickly brush with a layer of melted butter and sprinkle over some of the cinnamon sugar to coat.Step 3Cut into fingers and serve with a pot of the chocolate sauce for dipping.
